Makeover Monday!
This week’s lucky makeover candidate is Cathy; another bride-to-be AND, in my opinion, Heather Graham’s celebrity look alike! With Cathy’s naturally curly hair, I decided to give her a long layered cut to create movement and shape when wearing it curly or smooth. To change up her look, I suggested that she grow out her bangs to create a softer, side swept fringe and that she would look FANTASTIC with balayage to brighten up her blonde highlights.
Seeing as Cathy has flawless, porcelain skin and does not wear much makeup, I used 5 simple steps to create her look: Concealer, Bronzer, Mascara, Blush and Lip gloss; and here you have it…

Makeover Monday!
She a baker, blogger, huge Canuck fan, soon-to-be elementary school teacher and a fellow Italian. Alicia Conti is her name! A pleasant, fun-loving chic with an infectious smile and positive attitude; not to mention Minnie Driver’s doppleganger!
Alicia came in with her boyfriend one day (…who, by the way, is so sweet AND has some really creative hidden talents – a true keeper!). Alicia wanted to try a fishtail braid and with her luscious long hair, she was that perfect candidate. She has the most GORGEIOUS green eyes, so to make them pop, I used copper, rusty yellow and plum tones. To compliment that, I applied bronzer to create a warm, sunkissed complexion along with peach blush. Here’s her before and after shot…

Makeover Monday!
Meet Christine; a 34 year old Operating Room Assistant at Vancouver General Hospital AND a soon-to-be-bride. With her wedding fast approaching (May,2012), Christine was looking for the perfect bridal look to compliment her wedding dress (…which is top sectet!).
Christine has thick, long hair and AMAZING eyes and cheek bones (…kinda reminds me of JLo and Kim Kardashian - right?). To accentuate her features, I decided to pull her hair away from the face and style it in a high 60′s inspired bun, which I like to call ”The Birthday Cake”. I applied hues of navy, purple and black to create a smoky cat eye and chose a nude lip gloss to keep the look fresh and simple. Here’s the end result…

A Kick of Keratin!
This here’s a tale for all you ladies….with frizzy, unruly and hard to manage hair. Behold – LIQUID KERATIN PROFESSIONAL SMOOTHING TREATMENT! This stuff is the bomb! I thought I’d show a little before and after and give you the run down on how this treatment works…
This service takes roughly 90 – 120 minutes and starts at $250 (depending on the length and texture of your hair..). In Hanna’s case (above), her hair is short and very thick and the service took roughly 2 hours to complete. This is not a permanent straightening treatment, rather, a smoothing system. For best results, it is recommended to use a the Liquid Keratin after-care products. Alternatively, a Sulphate free and Sodium Chloride free shampoo and conditioner are also recommended. In addition, it is recommended to color the hair after the treatment as it will cause a slight lift of hair color.

I have the best girlfriends EVER!! And with our busy schedules (work, travel, children and training for marathons…) we don’t often get to spend quality time together.
