Hello, Sailor!

I love summer in Vancouver; there’s always something to do.  Whether it’s a casual bike ride to Granville Island or Kitsalano for the day; sitting on the edge of the sea wall and watching the sunset; or maybe even enjoying a delicious cocktail on a cool patio somewhere in Yaletown.  The possibilities are ENDLESS!  Alone, with friends, or single and lookin’ for love; you always want to maximize your style by selecting pieces that can easily be transformed to suit any occasion.  The key is to add a little “Nadittude” to your wardrobe and have fun in the process.  Here are a few of my “can’t-live-without” summer essentials inspired by sea…

White Skinny Jeans7 For All Mankind

White jeans are a staple in everyone’s summer wardrobe and a great alternative to dark denim.  Styled with a t-shirt and flip-flops, as seen above with sneakers, or with a pretty blouse and heels; white jeans work with everything!

Bright Top - Coral “Anchor” sweater (Winners)

A pop of color will instantly give you a boost.  I love the nautical feel of this, Mason Scotch, anchor print sweater.  It’s fun and playful and adds some personality to this outfit!  Switch up the white jeans with navy shorts and a great pair of espadrilles, and you’ll be sailing into the right direction!

White Sneakers - KEDS

Comfortable footwear is a must, especially if you plan on doing a lot of walking.  A great way to transform this outfit from day-time casual, to casual-chic, is to switch up the Keds for a cute pair of wedge sandals.  They’ll provide instant lift and a sexy strut!

Canvas Tote Bag - Chanel

I love me a big tote bag! I can pack it with all kinds of goodies.  It might even come in handy “IF” and when I ever need to use it as a baby bag!;)

Nail Polish - OPI “Russian Navy”

Beautifully lacquered hands and feet are a must in the summer.  Not only does polish compliment an outfit, it’s also a very relaxing way to spend a Sunday!

Hand Cream - L’Occitane

Dry skin is not sexy…enough said!;)
