Paris in December is pretty amazing; the culture, the architecture, the Christmas Market and the “joie de vivre”.   And to be invited by one of my FAVORITE makeup companies, Make Up For Ever, to tour their original Boutique, which opened in 1984, was one of the highlights of my trip.  Here’s a sneak peek of my visit with the legendary cosmetic company and my dream meeting with makeup Guru, and founder of Make Up For Ever, Dany Sanz.

Here is the original boutique located at 5 Rue La Boétie, Paris, France.  I visited this location over three years ago and still get goose bumps.  To think that this location is the birthplace of Make Up For Ever and continues to be the spot where new products are created by Dany and her team of chemists.

Walking into the Boutique made me feel like a kid in a candy store.  The color palettes were bright and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on everything.  We toured the boutique then proceeded to the back pro showroom, where Dany and her team provide private consultation for media personalities and celebrities.  As I browsed, I could help but notice Dany’s collection of vintage makeup memorabilia, books and posters; a little something that we have in common.

We moved our way into the color lab, where everything known to Make Up For Ever is created.  This is the place where Dany formulates new colors and product for our consumer pleasure.  Upstairs is the Pro Makeup classroom, were artists from all over the world can take part in the intensive makeup training program, taught by Dany and her team of senior artists.  Don’t mind if I do!:)

After visiting with everyone and touring the Boutique, I was treated to a makeup application and of course, a meeting with Dany!

Thank you Make Up For Ever, for your kindness and hospitality.  You have made this trip to Paris so unique and I look forward to seeing you all again very soon!  Merci!
