White Linen Dress: Winners | Leopard Sandals: Gaimo, Winners | Black Shoulder Bag: Alexander Wang , Holt Renfrew (no longer available) | Necklaces: Jeweliette Jewelry
Summer white is so my jam these days! And this lovely linen number is definitely going to be on repeat this season, especially with Diner en Blanc AND my Euro trip coming up…
I purchased this dress from Winners in late July, and not only do I love the light-weight linen fabric, I also fell in love with the loose and easy shape of the cut and how it floats away from the body. It packs light, it’s great for traveling and I like how it camouflages the midriff area (so that I can indulge in as much food as I wish whilst hiding my food belly!) To contrast the soft texture of the dress, I paired it with these cool leopard wedge sandals for Winners. The brand is called Gaimo, and all of their shoes are hand-made in Spain with high quality leather and natural materials. These are hands-down the most comfortable shoes I have ever purchased and I love the mix of the jute espadrille sole with the leopard print and zipper front. To complete the look, I chose to wear my black Alexander Wang “Diego” shoulder bag, which I invested years ago at Holt Renfrew. The pebbled leather and metal grommets compliment the shoes perfectly!
If you haven’t already decided on what to wear at Diner en Blanc, check out a Winners store near you to pull together the perfect head-to-toe, white-on-white outfit that will be sure to turn heads! As the ad says; “Find Fabulous for Less!” (Hahah!).
Special thanks to my friend Christine of Christine Williams Photography, for making me look so fabulous in this week’s style shoot. She’s an incredible photographer, super down to earth, and specializes in natural light photography. Check her out and follow her on Instagram @christinewphotography , you’re gonna love her!
Have a fantastic weekend, everyone! xo

July 2017 marked 20 years in the beauty, bridal and fashion industry. Here’s a look at how we celebrated with some of our nearest and dearest…
I can’t have a party without a sweet table and candy bar. These customized cookies and treats made by our friends at Cake and Giraffe and The Uncommon Cake were adorable! And the candy from Karamaller Candy Shop in Yaletown was a hit!
We can always depend on our friends at The Flower Factory for creating the most spectacular florals. They really played on the Italian Garden theme and incorporated all of my favorite flowers into each arrangement. I especially loved my floral arch around the front door to greet our guests. I wish this was a permanent fixture!
In keeping with tradition, the lovely ladies at Jeweliette Jewelry provided an assortment of sparkly Swarovski stud earrings for our complimentary gift bags.
BIG love to my friend, and graphic designer, Lele Chan. She helped me organize this event and is the talent behind the beautiful hand written quotes written throught our salon and on our champagne glasses. She’s a true gem and creative force!
Me and my dolce Mama!
Huge thank you to David and Maurizio of Debut Event Design (pictured here with Jenny De Jong of Countdown Events) for draping and decorating the space so perfectly!
A champagne party is not a party without balloons! Big thanks to Balloon Studio for helping us create our photo wall.
My love and partner in crime for life!
Well…what can I say?! I am the happiest person on earth when I’m around this amazingly talented and loving group! My team is my everything and I’m so proud of each and every one of them. I am proud of my long-time friends in the beauty and wedding industries, who have made theses past 20 years of my career an absolute dream come true. I am proud of the hard work, care and dedication we have all put into our craft and our clients; which without, we would not be where we are today. I am proud that I stayed focused over the years, to carry out my vision for the life I’ve always dreamed of; surround by incredibly beautiful and diverse friends, family, colleagues and clients. I love you all and thank you from the core of my heart for your love, loyalty and support over the years! Thanks for celebrating with us.
Have a fantastic long weekend and Happy PRIDE!
BIG THANK YOU TO…

I’m baaaack!! It was a whirlwind trip to the East Coast (Toronto and New York City) and boy was it fun! I kicked things off in Toronto, where I made a guest appearance on CTV’s The Marilyn Denis Show as a beauty expert. It was an incredibly great honor to share a few moments with Canadian radio and television legend, Marilyn Denis. What an inspiring woman; truly lovely and kind. We taped a beauty segment together where I demonstrated how to get three celebrity looks using drug store products. The show airs today (Friday, July 21) and I hope you can tune in!
I’m not going to lie, I’m feeling both excited and nervous. I have not seen the show yet and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I did a decent job. I mean seriously…this is NATIONAL TELEVISION!!! (Whaaaaa?!?). This is truly an amazing experience and opportunity that wouldn’t have been possible without the love, support and encouragement of my dear friend Mana Mansour. I’m sure you recognize her name as she’s an incredibly talented producer and on-air personality. She has made a name for herself in the media and fashion world both here in Vancouver (CTV, Global News, Shaw TV etc.) as well as in Toronto (CBC’s Steven and Chris Show, ETalk and Marilyn Denis Show). When she invited me to be on the show, I was thrilled because I admire her very much and value the fact that she trusts and believes in me and my talents enough to produce a segment for me. We’ve worked together on several occasions in the past 6 years and I love her tenacity and drive! Thank you, Mana – xo
Now of course it couldn’t be all work and now play…so we booked a flight to New York City for a much needed girls weekend trip – YAY!! We explored Manhattan and did as much as we could in 3 days. Some of my favorite moments were visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art, shopping at Century 21 and the Soho District, exploring ALL of the neighborhoods including Chealsea, Meatpacking District, Noho and Upper East Side. And of course being audience members on the Wendy Williams Show is never a bad idea; it was seriously an INSANE fun time!! I have always wanted to go to Brooklyn and we enjoyed a lovely evening in the oh-so cool Williamsburg District . We ate dinner at the Leuca Restaurant in the Vale Hotel and enjoyed a few cocktails and gorgeous views from a few rooftop patios; which were spectacular! We met new people, and I even bumped into my friend, Author and TED Fellow Speaker, Michele Jackson, whom I met and worked with at TED2016; what are the chances of that in New York?!
New York (aka: Concrete Jungle) is such a bustling, diverse and exciting city! There was so much to see and so little time. It offers old world architecture with intense vibrancy. It’s worn-in and well loved; chic, colorful, avant-garde and unique. Anything goes, and for this week’s style profile, I pulled an outfit together that I feel is all of the above!
Daniella and I took these photos a few weeks back and when I spotted this mound of concrete and rubble, I absolutely fell in love and had to shoot there! It reminds me that beauty and nature will always surface amidst the destruction; it’s all in the way you choose to perceive it! Here I’m wearing my distressed relaxed fit “Girlfriend” Gap Jeans with this feminine and sheer black vintage 80’s organza blouse. Sheer fabric is so en vogue right now and a major trend alert this season! The ruffle detail on the back are EVERYTHING! They feel like my butterfly wings! For a hit of color, I styled this outfit with my suede fuchsia Manolo Blahnik heels, which I invested in a few year back at Holt Renfrew. I accessorized with my new favorite embroidered clutch purse, which is artful, unique and a true conversation starter. I added my lovely ceramic rose-bud earrings, which compliment the colors in the clutch and voila!
To dress up this look, simply swap out the jeans with a black palazzo pant jumpsuit and tie up the front of the blouse to create a cropped bolero jacket look.
The detailed embroidery on this clutch purse is incredible. I can’t believe I found this at Value Village for only $4.99. And it’s in mint condition! Not to mention these ceramic blue rose-bud earrings, also from Value Village, only $1.99. It’s incredible what you can find in unexpected places; gems in the rough!
It’s been an unforgettable week and I’m so blessed to have been able to experience it with my friend, Mana! If you’ve never been to New York, it’s a must see City. Be prepared to do a ton of walking and be inspired by the amazing street style. The diversity and history of the City is unlike anywhere else.
And if you want to watch my Marilyn Denis segment, be sure to tune in today (July 21, 2017) on CTV. Check your local listings!

Who’s ready to celebrate Canada’s big 1 -5- 0? I sure am; and I’m wearing pink to the party – haha!
Not only does 2017 mark Canada’s 150th birthday, it’s also a significant year for me because I’m celebrating my 20th year in the beauty and fashion business! It was July of 1997 when I officially became a certified makeup and hair artist and booked my first significant wedding gig! That year, I also landed a job at the Club Monaco Cosmetics makeup counter on Robson Street, which then lead to a store manager and trainer role for 6 years. That experienced launched my career as a fashion consultant. I eventually completed my hairdressing diploma and joined the team at a high-end hair salon, in Holt Renfrew, where I worked and became friends with so many inspiring and talented people. I dabbled in reality TV (W Network), opened my own studio and became a makeover columnist in The Province/ Vancouver Sun Newspaper! And now, 20 years later, I’m still running a successful Makeup, Hair and Lifestyle business (Style Inc turns 6 this year!), I’ve surrounded myself with an incredible team of artists and industry professionals nation wide. I’ve created a lifestyle brand/label, NadittudeTM, that I am extremely proud of. And as a bonus, I’ve been blessed with so many wonderful on-air and media opportunities! All of this was achieved with steady hard work, respect and dedication, and a passion that runs deeper than you can imagine. Most importantly, I was supported by the love and loyalty of my friends, clients and colleges, like you; who fuel me with encouragement during the highs and the lows. There have been lessons learned over the last 2 decades and so many more exciting “aha” moments to come, and for that I humbled and grateful. Here’s to another incredible 20 years!
As much as I like the color red, I have very little of it in my wardrobe and I much prefer wearing various shades of pink. And this coral pink, linen tunic dress is going to be on repeat this summer! It’s a gorgeous statement piece with loads of personality. The intricate floral appliqué on the front really gives this piece a high-end and expensive feel, while the built-in pockets add an element of comfort and convenient. Plus, who doesn’t love dresses with pockets?! I really like that this dress offers versatility and can work for a multitude of summer events and occasions. It’s lightweight and perfect for traveling, AND it’s a thrift store find (only $12) ! I mean, what more could a girl ask for, right? I’ve styled here with my favorite Sophia Webster “Flamigo Frill” leather stilettos (last season), which are so fun and quirky!
To switch it up!
For a more casual weekend vibe, I’d opt for either my classic white Converse sneakers or my white Madrid Essentials Birkenstocks. For a classic “Sunday Best” feel, I’d slip on a pair medium height espadrille.
Happy Canada Day Weekend, Everyone! I’m so proud to be Canadian-Italian and am forever thankful to my Dad for deciding to immigrate to this great, strong and diverse country! I am truly blessed to be living my Canadian dream with a little NadittudeTM!

Here are some images and behind the scenes footage of our third and final head-to-toe Spring style refresh that I worked on with our partners at Lougheed Town Centre. Hope this inspires you as much as it did me…
Jinnell is 30 years old and nominated herself for a makeover. She lost over 50 pounds in the last year and wanted a style change to suit her new body. She was curious to see how someone else would dress her and hopes to create a great wardrobe for when she’s out at social events friends. She describes her style to be casual and loves the color blue. Her usual work attire generally consists of t-shirts, jeans and athletic wear. In our consultation, she expressed an interest in finding new pair of jeans, but otherwise left the rest up to me.
We headed straight to Reitmans and found her a great pair of bootcut jeans. Instead of opting for a typical skinny leg, I suggested a Boot Cut to lean-out and elongate her legs to compliment her beautiful curves. I wanted to incorporate a little pattern and texture on top so we stopped into Suzy Shier and found a pretty floral print cold-shoulder, empire waist blouse. An empire silhouette defines the waist and floats away from the body, camouflaging the tummy area. While the cold-shoulder cut covers the arms and shows off little skin in just the right places.
In consulting with Jinnell, I recommended a shorter length to better suite her face shape. Together with a stylist from Chatter’s Salon, we create this soft, one-length textured bob. Her hair is naturally quite fine and this style offers a modern, versatile and fun change; while making the hair appear thicker and fuller. She loved it and especially enjoyed the soft curls!
We went to the cosmetic department at the Hudson’s Bay to pull together some great Dior Makeup. Being that Jinnell’s day- to-day makeup routine is little to none, I wanted to glam her up a bit with a neutral smokey look. She has porcelain skin and beautiful blue eyes, so I chose a color palette of warm browns, gold and peachy tones to compliment her overall complexion.
There’s nothing better than knowing you can stretch out your budget to allow two outfits; and that’s exactly what we were able to do for Jinnell! For her first look, we opted for boot cut jeans in a dark wash, to elevate the overall look and feel of the outfit. We paired them with this lovely floral print empire waist, cold-shoulder blouse; which adds a little texture and color to the outfit. To define her waist, I added a brown woven belt, which match her lovely “Muriele” sandals from Aldo Shoes.
For her second look, we went with this summery printed frill dress from H&M. The ruffle detail around the front balances her upper and lower body proportions, and adding the brow woven belt really defines waist. The lovely ruffled, key-hole neckline draws attention up to her beautiful face and shows off her new haircut and makeup.
It was such a treat to work with Jinnell and I think her transformation is stunning! I am so impressed and inspired by her dedication to leading a healthy and happy lifestyle. I expeciall love her positive and open atittude and hope you enjoyed reading her makeover story! Click HERE to view Jinnell’s behind the scenes highlight reel! – xo

I’m so excited to share the second head-to-toe Spring style refresh I worked on with our partners at Lougheed Town Centre. Here are some images and behind the scenes footage from the Cherene’s experience, which I hope inspires you.
Cherene is a hardworking mom who always puts her family before herself. She was thrilled when she found out that her daughter had nominated her for a makeover, as she has been going through tough times with her husbands health and needed a little TLC. She wanted to get out of her rut and feels like she is getting older and ready for a change.
Cherene works as a security guard and wears a uniform to work. On her days off, she lives in her jeans and flip-flops, and wears little to no makeup. Her area of concern is her mid-section and bottom. She has difficulty finding shoes and prefers wearing open sandals for comfort. During our consultation, she explained how she likes a casual and classic style with a bohemian twist. She was also hoping to add a bit of color to her wardrobe, which is always a good idea, as color can really positively effect your mood and emotions.
We hit up a few stores in the mall to look for dresses and found the perfect one at Hudson’s Bay. I chose a wrap dress with beautiful pink, blue and white floral hues to compliment her complexion. It has a “V” neckline, which elongates the neck and offers a leaner longer silhouette. The wrap style works for every body type and is particularly ideal for defining waste. We layered a plain white tank top underneath for extra coverage, however, a lace camisole would work if you wanted to create a sexier evening look. We popped into Reitmans to look for a denim jacket, as I wanted to create a more casual vibe for Cherene. Plus, I knew she would be able to combine this piece with her existing wardrobe. For shoes, we opted for rose-gold colored embellished sandals from Aldo Shoes.
I created what’s called my “7 Style SacramentsTM”. It’s a series of style rules and guidelines to help women develop a great sense of personal style. When pulling an outfit together, you want to remember “DLDB” rule, as in Dark, Light, Dull and Bright. A perfect and cohesive outfit should have a balance of something Dark and Light (for contrast), and something Dull and Bright (for texture, pattern and shine). These elements help to create an interested, thoughtful and multi-dimensional outfit that looks and feels good no matter the occasion!
We went to the cosmetic department at the Hudson’s Bay to pull together some great makeup products to suit Cherene’s beauty needs. For her sensitive skin I used a combination of Clinique and Clarins makeup to create this pretty, soft and neutral makeup look.
Another one of my “7 Style SacramentsTM” is the “Five-in-5” makeup rule. Tha’s Five makeup steps in 5 minutes (not including skincare). In Charene’s case, we used the following product to get the this look:
Moisturizer: Clarins Beauty Flash Balm
Tinted Moisturizer: Clinique CC Cream in Light/Medium
Concealer: Clinique All About Eyes “Light Petal”
Bronzing Powder: Clarins Bronzing Duo SPF 15
Mascara: Clinique Chubby Lash Mascara
Lipstick: Clinique Chubby Stick
Togehter with the stylists at Chatters Salon, we consulted with Charene to create this beautifully textured, short, asymmetrical haircut to suit her face shape. I was exactly what she was hoping for and the best part is that this is the salon where she usually get’s her hair cut; it’s a win all around!
We started with this beautiful and colorful maxi dress from Hudson’s Bay. The cut, length and pattern, combined, created a lovely and slimming silhouette. The white tank provided extra coverage and added a nice pop of crisp white to brighten the face. We layered these simple rose-gold necklaces for a hit a sparkle, which tied in perfectly with her new rose-gold embellished sandals (both from Aldo Shoes). We completed the look with this dark denim jacket from Reitmans; which is a wardrobe staple and can be coordinated multiple ways. And there you have it; a little bit of DLDB (Dark, Light, Dull and Bright) and a whole lot of NadittudeTM!
Congratulations, Cherene! You look absoulutely stunning; I hope you enjoy your new look! Click HERE to view the behind the scenes highlight reel! – xo

It’s been almost a month since I collaborated with our friends at Lougheed Town Centre to provide a complete head-to-toe Spring style refresh to three beautiful and deserving winners. Lesley, Cherene and Jinnell each entered to win a Lougheed Look and won, and over the next three weeks I am going to share each of their stories with you, right here on my blog. I’m so excited to finally share some images and behind the scenes footage from the experience; I hope it inspires you!
Meet 35 year old, Lesley Santillan. She is a new mom to 5 month old Chloe, and decided to nominated herself for a makeover to lift her spirits after suffering from postpartum depression. She works in a hospital and is required to wear scrubs as a daily uniform. When she’s not working, her go-to look is a top bun hairstyle, oversized tops and little to no makeup. Her area of concern, since having a baby, is her tummy and mid-section. She needed help finding a pair of jeans to fit her body type and that could transition easily from day-to-night. In our initial consultation, she wanted her overall style to be fun, casual and comfortable, yet polished and feminine.
Reitmans was our first stop, as I knew we would be able to find the perfect jeans for her. They have an incredible selection of styles and sizes to choose from that work for all body types. Next we headed to H&M to search for some pieces to compliment the jeans. H&M is a great retailer as it offers budget friendly, fashion forward clothing that are on-trend. Lucky for us, we found everything we needed here, including accessories and a pair of casual flat espadrille shoes!
With the help of our friends at Chatter’s Salon, Togehter with one of the salon stylists, we consult with Lesley on a style that would best suit her hair texture and liftstyle. In the end, Lesley received a lovely full-bodied, long layered hair cut; which was exactly what she was hoping for.
While she was getting her hair done, I dropped into Aldo Shoes and found the most adorable floral print sandals that I knew Lesley would absolutely love. And when she came in to try them on, she totally fell in love with them! As the saying goes “good shoes take you good places!”
The Hudson’s Bay was so kind to let us take over their cosmetic department and the staff was so helpful. I used Clinique Cosmetics to created a soft smokey look on Lesley; which would work for both day time and/or a night out!
We started with these gorgeous mid-rise body contouring Slim Sculpting Jeans from Reitmans . These jeans fit like a glove and really define to toosh as well! I chose this peplum cut sleeveless blouse from H&M as it floats away from the body and helps to camouflage the tummy area. The ruffled peplum detail defines the waistline while the keyhole neckline exposes her some skin and brings attention to her beautiful face. For additional coverage and structure, I chose to layer on this lovely light-weight fitted blazer (also from H&M), for a smart and polished feel. I accessorized the outfit with this simple blush-pink clutch purse (which also has a shoulder strap for versatility) and added a little NadittudeTM to the outfit with these colorful and floral print canvass “Miyaa” sandals from Aldo!
Not bad for a day’s work! Lesley looks fantastic and her gratitude for the entire process was overwhelming and well deserved. Click HERE to view Lesley’s behind the scenes highlight reel!
Stay tuned next week as I reveal Cherene’s Lougheed Look Makeover. In the mean time, Happy Weekend, Everyone and happy shopping! – xo

We’re up to our usual shenanigans for our 4th annual Mother’s Day photo shoot, Italiano style! This year we got a little creative and channeled inner Sofia Loren and Gina Lollobrigida for a 1960’s inspired shoot. We love this decade as it was a time, in Italy, known for it’s great music, timeless fashion, zest for life and innocent love. So, mom and I donned our NadittudeTM Label T-shirts and hit our favorite gelato shop, La Casa Gelato, for some good old fashion mother-daughter fun!
The pencil skirt and full dresses were an iconic fashion trend in the fifties and sixties, and they still are to this day. Looking back at old family photos, all the women looked so fabulous and chic! They made everything look so effortless and beautiful, including their feminine curves!
We shopped our own closets and worked with what we already had for week’s shoot. I chose to wear my coral pencil skirt (H&M) with my “Buongiorno Baby” NadittudeTM Label Tee and styled it with my favourite floral-print Manolo Blahnik pumps. I added my black leather jacket to up the cool factor and accessorized with my polka-dot sunnies. Mom, pulled this cute and colourful circle skirt from her closet and coordinated it with her “Dolce Mama” T-shirt. She layered it with her black blazer and finished with these patten leather almond-toe pumps.
Pencil skirts are ideal for defining an hourglass figure. If you’re a Pear Shape, opt for a Full or A-line cut as these floats away from the body and camouflage the hips and bottom. Full skirts are also a great option if you want to add curves to an otherwise Straight and slender body type.
My mom is so adorable. Every time she tells me stories of her days growing up in Italy, I can totally imagine her cute little self bopping around town (like the social butterfly that she is…) with her siblings and pals. She often recounts the times they would gather at my nonna’s house to eat pizza, which would often end in an impromptu dance party. If someone didn’t bring an accordion or guitar, they’d listen to their favourite pop artist such as Gianni Morandi, Pupo, Adriano Celentano, Rita Pavone and of course Elvis, to name a few! They spent endless summer days hanging out at the beach or picnicking in the mountains, while boys cruised around on their Vespas to flirt with the girls. Those days were very special and everyone helped each other out. They shared everything like clothes and shoes and genuinely loved each other. Although they all grew up very modestly, they made up for the lack of material things with their richness in spirit, family love, food and community! Back then, going for ice-cream was a big treat, and continues to be so in our family. It meant having a few laughs in the main square with friends and possibly running into that special someone you had a crush on. Times were simple and it seemed to be filled with so much optimism and joy!
The classic french twist up-style is one of my faves and a quintessential hairstyles of the sixties!! It looks so elegant and every time I style my hair like this I feel so chic and get tons of compliments; you should try it!
Get the look:
Start by curling the hair with curling the hair with an curling wand then spray hair with KMS Makeover Spray Dry Shampoo for added texture.
Back brush the hair at the crown and sides to create a little volume.
Smooth out the top surface and gather the hair into a loose ponytail. Be sure to leave out some hair around the face to create effortless softness.
Twist the ponytail and as you twist, gently tuck the ends of the hair into a roll.
Secure with bobby-pins and finish the look with KMS Hair Stay Firm Hold Hair Spray or KMS Hair Play – Dry Wax
I can tell you that there’s never a dull moment when hanging out with my mom. She’s always got a crazy story to tell, which often ends in an explosion of laughter on my part! Thanks. Ma, for always brightening up our days and making us laugh. For sharing your love of food, life and music with us and for making such simple an mundane things feel so special. You’ve been through many ups and downs and even when we drive you crazy, you still manage to have an incredible sense of humor through it all! You never cease to amaze me and you’re truly one of a kind! Auguri to the most dolce mama in the world. I love you to the moon and back!
Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful moms out there, near, far and looking over us in heaven! xo

Dress: Value Village | Shoes: Sophia Webster , Hudson’s Bay | Pearl Earrings and Custom Hashtag Necklace: Jeweliette Jewellery | Clutch Purse: Croatia
It’s been a very eventful month! To start, we successfully launched our Lougheed Town Centre “Lougheed Look” Campaign. Hundreds of you submitted your nominations (thank you!) and we’ve selected our three deserving winners! Lesley, Cherene and Jinnell, we can’t wait to meet you and get started on your Spring style refresh!
Next up was Eco Fashion Week. I attended the Value Village 81lbs challenge preview at the Museum of Vancouver. I was so impressed and thrilled to meet and chat with so many innovative designers and artists. I feel so lucky and proud to be part of this incredible community and hope you can take some time to read about the event and support this fashion movement.
Last week I traveled to Regina to present at the KMS “Welcome Session” Hair Show. KMS has launched it’s new Style Matters campaign and I’m loving everything about the new look and feel of the line. It’s incredibly fun and exciting to be part of the National Art Team with so many other talented arts (internationally and globally) and I look forward to traveling to a City near you to share more of this gorgeous campaign with you; because style DOES matters!
Up next for me is the TED Talks “Future You” Conference. The event runs from April 23 -April 28 in Vancouver, and I am so excited to be working with and meet so many incredible speakers, innovators and artist. I’ve been a part the TED Family for four years now, in the makeup and hair department, and it’s one of my absolute favorite events of the year! I’m eager to learn, grow and be inspired.
I honestly feel like I’m floating on air lately. Of course, all these wonderful and sweet opportunities and accomplishments are sometimes faced with challenging moments and negative critics. But rather than letting them bring me down, I choose to rise up. Reality Check!!: we are ALL destined to do great things, whether big or small, and we can’t let negativity block our path. As I’ve stated many times before, success means different things to different people and it’s all in the way we choose to navigate our passions and interests. Perception is reality; if you believe it (positively or negatively), you will become it! My personal secret to success is: work hard and be gratful, support, respect and be kind to others, have fun, and be ethical. Most importantly, let go and let God! Timing is everything, and I want to (at least try to) make every moment count! We may not get what we want when we want, but eventually everything falls into place.
Eco Fashion week reminds us that great fashion doesn’t have to come at a high price. KMS Hair reminds us that Style Matter. And this pretty little gingham plaid dress reminds me of the classic silouettes from the 1950’s. I can picture Sophia Lauren and Audrey Hepburn wearing something like this! This delicate plaid print was all over the Spring/Summer 2017 runways, and I’m seeing it in so many of my favorite stores like Zara , H&M, Hudson’s Bay and local Vancouver boutique Rebecca Bree . I was so excited when I found this piece during one of my thrifting hauls, and it was only $15.99. This dress is going to be an absolute wardrobe staple this season for upcoming weddings, vacations and just because. It’s classic fit and flair shape, which defines the waist line. The top half is billowy and the longer sleeves are great if you don’t want to expose the arms. The skirt is pleated and floats away from the body and is cut right above the knee to expose the legs. Plus, this print is timeless and works in pretty much all of our Vancouver seasons! It styles well with tennis sneakers (for a casual look), flat sandals (for the summer) and/or heels, like these fabulous Sophia Webster pumps (which are no longer available).
Pearls offer a classic feel to an outfit. These twin pearl earrings from Jeweliette Jewellery are off the hook and major must-have! Pop into the shop to try a pair on for yourself!
As the saying goes, “check yourself before you wreck yourself!”, haha! Thank you all for your support, for reading my blog and for letting me share my life and personal style with you. Wishing you and your family a Happy Easter weekend.
PS. Stay tuned for a very exciting announcement pertaining to my NadittudeTM label, coming up in a few weeks!!

My inspiration behind this casual Spring look started with these distressed cropped jeans from Reitmans. Being a West Coast gal, I live in my jeans, but it doesn’t mean they can’t look chic. Good fitting jeans are a wardrobe essential and Reitmans has a huge selection of styles. Jeans are functional, versatile and can be styled many different ways. I coordinated them with this delicate long-sleeved eyelet blouse from H&M, to add a little femininity. We’re going to be seeing a lot of eyelet-lace this season so be sure to add something like this to your wardrobe! I layered on this blush-pink bomber jacket from Suzy Sheer, which is light-weight and perfect for the crisp Spring air. To elevate the look, I opted for these cute forest-green brick-heel sandal from Aldo. They are so comfy; perfect for shopping around the mall in (and show off my fresh pedicure!). This would be a great outfit for date night or dinner with friends.
Swap out the sandals for a pair of white Converse Chuck Taylor or Adidas Superstar sneakers (both available at Footlocker) to create an easy weekend ensemble. This is a super functional and stylish outfit for running errands or an outing with the kids.
For a flirty and more feminine look, I styled this playful pleated skirt with this pretty floral print blouse (both from H&M). The micro-pleat is also a big trend right now and this skirt is a great cut for a pear-shaped body type, as it floats away from the hips and softens the curves. For an cool “street” vibe, I styled this look with my black leather boots. However, for versatility and/or a more formal occasion, you can slip on a strappy sandle (like the ones pictured above) to dress up the outfit.
The idea behind both looks is that all pieces can be interchanged and coordinated to maximize your wardrobe. When shopping, be sure you can style each piece that you purchase at least 3 different ways, for: Weekend, Work and Night.
