We all know the Walt Disney tale of Cinderella, right? You know the one involving a fairy godmother, a couple of mice, a glass slipper, a few mean girls and a cute prince who saves the girl. It’s a lovely story with a happy ending, but this little Italian has a slightly different version with a little more NadittudeTM (Sorry Walt!).
You see my story doesn’t have one fairy godmother. I have an army of charming and encouraging fairy godmother’s. Women who are supportive, uplifting and have wonderfully magical abilities. My “glass slippers” are usually designer (on sale, of course!) and they always fit just right! They support me as I walk tall through life with my wardrobe that is always on point; even if it’s second-hand or thrifted! The mean girls know that it’s in their best interest to alway play nice if they want to avoid having pumpkin pie on their faces. My stylists are my sidekicks that work beside me to transform our clients into the best versions of themselves. And rather than getting rescued by Prince Charming, I fall in love with a kind, strong and loyal King who adores and respects me for the strong, tenacious woman that I am. Together we live in a fortress on a hill and build a life filled with of love, laughter and longevity. Just saying…(wink!)
I styled my new NadittudeTM brand, “Cinda-Fricken-Rella”, statment t-shirt ($50) with my black silk midi-skirt that I thrifted at Value Village ($10). I pulled the look togehter with my favorite Sophia Webster “Flamigo Frill Sandals” that I picked up on sale at The Hudson’s Bay, and opted for gold accessories, including my Leah Alexandra moonstone ear jackets ($182) to add a little sparkle and shine. The look evokes a relaxed “lady-like” style that is approachable and versatile, and incorporates both “hi and high” price points, which is a must in my style book!
The moral of my style story this week is: Remember that you must love yourself before you can be loved by someone else! Take care of YOU. Believe that you are worthy and deserving of all the great things you aspire to achieve. Be the graceful, bold and beautiful Cinda-fricken-rella that you were born to be!
