We walked the neighborhood of East Van (where I grew up) and came across this beautiful floral backdrop. These colorful blooms worked perfectly with this weeks blog vibes which is all about enjoying the little things in life. After all, it’s the little things make me the happiest! I enjoy the sunshine that beams through our bedroom window in the morning; waking up to sweet kisses on my face from my hubby as he leaves for work; breathing in the clean fresh Vancouver air
and the list goes on. I’ve been feeling extremely motivated lately and have been staying super healthy by exercising every morning, eating well and trying to find a work/life balance. I can’t help but feel incredibly grateful and blessed for each and every day.
Marc Jacobs once said, “I don’t think there is ever a wrong time for a polka-dot”, and I couldn’t agree with him more! There’s something so quirky and playful about this print; it reminds me of a ladybug. I spotted these cute pleated culottes for only $10, so obviously I scooped them up. They have an elastic waist band and are very billowy — sooo comfy and great for traveling! This shape adds a lot of volume so it’s important to define the waist by wearing something structured on top, like this tailored, faux-leather sleeveless top. On my feet, I’m wearing my red cork wedged sandals, from a few seasons back, for a splash of color and a little height. I like the look of a flat pointy shoe with this outfit as well, to elongate the leg and for a Euro-chic vibe.
