Cleanse the Skin

Start with a clean face.  This week, I’m using Mèreadesso Face and Neck Cleaner; a non-foaming all-in-one makeup remover, mask, scrub and toner that will even conquer waterproof mascara.

Step 1: Even out the complexion

Next, I then applied Mèreadesso Tinted All-in-One Moisturizer in “Light” to even out my complexion.  I was surprised to see how well this product camouflages my imperfection, because traditional tinted moisturizers do not provide this type of coverage — thumbs up, Mèreadesso!!

Step 2: Contour the face and warm up the complexion.

Define your bone structure by using bronzer to contour the face.  You’ll want to apply bronzer in the hollow of the cheek (below the cheek bone), on the outer corners of forehead and, along the jaw line and neck (as seen in the diagram above).  I’m using NARS Bronzing Powder in “Laguna” ($48).  On the apples of the cheeks, you’ll want to apply blush, to create a rosy glow.

Tip:

Blush and bronzer perform differently.  My general rule of thumb is, use bronzer to create that all-over, sun kissed glow.  Use blush to bring out your natural underlying pinkness in the cheek, which provides a healthy coloring in the skin.

Step 3: Fill in the brow

When your makeup is very clean and simple, it’s important to play up other areas of the face to pull the look together.  Seeing as in this look, the eyes are left undressed, you’ll want to frame you eyes by defining the shape of your eyebrows.  Try out the Stila Stay All Day Precision Glide Brow Pencil ($21); it’s great for creating a natural line.

 Step 4: Mascara

For this look, I wanted a light-weight mascara, and selected Estee Lauder’s “Little Black Primer”.  This mascara is fantastic as it’s a all-in-one product (
as you can see, I really like multi-use products).  It tints, amplifies and sets the lashes.  The bonus is that it can be used on it’s own and/or layered with mascara to create the look of longer, fuller lashes.

Step 5: Pull the look together with lipstick

To finish the look, I chose this Tinted Lip Treat by Mereadesso in “Burgundy”.  This product is made with incredible ingredients such as, evening primrose, grape seed, coconut and sunflower oils – then enhanced with Vitamins C and E.  What’s not to love?!
