It’s a new day and the sun is still shining. Time to take a deep breath, smile and start again….
It’s been an unusually turbulent year. And while I have learned so much about myself, Fall has always been a time of realization, renewal and reinvention for me. It’s that time of year where I am able to peacefully and respectfully rid myself of the draining people, thoughts and things that never truly served me or my well being. It’s extremely liberating, healing and empowering, and it allows me to reflect and give myself the permission to disconnect, regroup, set goals and put focus on what truly feeds my soul. As the saying goes, “it’s time to turn a new leaf”.
It’s sweater weather, meaning we get to wrap ourselves up in cozy bundles of warmth. What I love about this transitional weather is that it allows me to still enjoy some of my summer favourites by simply layering them with soft knits. I lived in these vintage Levi’s jeans all summer long and plan to carry them into my Fall/Winter wardrobe by pairing them with my thicker cable-knit sweater, turtle-necks, wool coats and boots. And seeing as the weather is still cooperating with us here in Vancouver, I’ll stick to wearing them with lightweight cardigans and mules, as picture here.
Stay cozy friends!
